Getting From the Airport Into Queens for an Actual Night Out
You land in Queens holding two versions of tonight. One of them crosses a river and starts the evening over somewhere else. The other stays in the borough your plane just parked in, and that is the one that works: Starlets is in Woodside, near LaGuardia, open daily 11 PM to 4 AM.
A flight that gets in at midnight has not missed anything. It landed at the front of the night.
Sort the bag before anything else
Luggage shapes an evening more than the ride in does. If your hotel is close and the desk is awake, drop the bag and come back out with your hands free. That one move turns a stiff arrival into a normal night.

Coming from JFK is the same decision
JFK sits in Queens too, so the borough half of this is solved before you reach baggage claim. Same address, same window, same phone number if the plan changes mid-flight. Woodside is also a 7 train and LIRR hub, and if all you have is a gap between flights, turning a LaGuardia layover into a night works the short version out properly.
If what you want is the straight case for the club nearest the airport, the near-LaGuardia version makes it.
The decision actually gets made at baggage claim
Whatever your group does tonight is settled while everyone is standing around a carousel, whether anyone says it out loud or not. Momentum is the enemy there. Three people head for the hotel, two of them sit down, and the evening ends in a lobby with nobody having chosen that.
So call it early. One person names the place before the bags come out and sends the address to everybody. A plan that exists survives the ride in. A vague intention does not survive the elevator.
Read 11 PM to 4 AM as a window
Most plans you make at home assume you arrive on time. This one does not need you to. Land at 11:40, clear the terminal by half past midnight, get to Woodside after that, and there are still hours in front of you. The room is open daily 11 PM to 4 AM.

Eat like someone who just flew
There is a full kitchen. That is worth knowing when the last thing you ate came out of a foil tray somewhere over Ohio. Handle food inside instead of solving it separately on the way in, and the night stops being a chain of errands and starts being a night.
Travel days end with people who have eaten one rushed thing at a counter since morning. That catches up with a group faster than the hour does, and it usually gets blamed on the hour.
Book it from the gate

Bring a valid government-issued photo ID. Every person, every time, and no booking changes it. You already had ID in your hand to get on the plane, so this is the rare part of a night out that a traveller has a head start on. If you are not sure what you are carrying counts, call and ask before you leave the hotel.
And if you are the one meeting the flight rather than on it, bringing out-of-town guests to Starlets is the host's half of the same evening.
Twenty-one and up. No booking changes that part, for anyone, on any night.
Before you leave the hotel
Charge the phone. Put 49-09 25th Ave in a message to whoever you are meeting, so nobody is retyping an address in a moving car. Decide which one of you is handling the table, and then let that person handle it without a committee.
The only real argument against the whole idea is a boarding time you cannot move. If you fly out early, you already know it, and you can make a shorter night of it deliberately instead of discovering it at four in the morning.
